Alumnus of the Year: Mike Adams Alumnus of the Year: Mike Adams Michael F. Adams is a leader in higher education. Actually, he’s been a leader in just about everything he has undertaken in his life including during his tenure at Lipscomb when he became national president of Circle K (the collegiate arm of Kiwanis) and founded that national organization’s first female chapter, at Lipscomb. In recent years, there has been a lot of hard work and investment made in Lipscomb’s theatre program. The result? A great program in three acts: on campus, in the city and nationally. The growth began several years ago when, acting on his belief that a great liberal arts university must have great music, art and theatre, President L. Randolph Lowry initiated a reinvention of the program that included the addition of new department chair Mike Fernandez. Fernandez came with more than nine years experience in academic theatre and a mandate to grow the department.
